How Tagcert works

A three-party system that establishes verifiable bag identity before takeoff.

Passenger captures
At bag drop, the passenger photographs their tagged bag. The app captures GPS, timestamp, and a device hash. Photo is cryptographically signed and uploaded immediately.

System verifies
Tagcert binds the photo to the passenger's PNR. Any edit after submission breaks the cryptographic seal. Records are stored for 90 days minimum.

Authority retrieves
CBSA, RCMP, consulates, and authorized airline staff can query by passenger name or PNR to retrieve the verified pre-flight record. Exculpatory evidence when the wrong bag is attached to the right name.
